Tournament Fee
The entry fee is $550.00 per team @ 18u/16u, $500.00 per team @ 14u/12u/10u
Team Selection
For the 2012 tournament, team selection will be determined by the GAPSS tournament committee in order to ensure a 'showcase' level tournament. Many criteria will be used to determine the final field of teams for the tournament. Due to the number of applicants expected, we will not be able to provide teams with individual explanations as to why they were not accepted into the tournament field.
Application Deadline
All applications must be postmarked by December 3, 2011 to be considered for the GAPSS Tournament.
Team Selection Notification
All teams will be notified of their playing status by no later than December 12, 2011.
Check Cashing
Checks must be mailed with application and will be cashed upon receipt of the application. For teams not accepted into the tournament, reimbursement checks will be mailed by the GAPSS tournament committee by December 31, 2011.
Refund Policy
By applying for the GAPSS tournament, it is assumed that you want to play in the tournament. Once your team has been accepted into the GAPSS tournament, no refunds will be provided.
Age Divisions
16u/18u - 42 teams (one combined age group)
14u - 28 teams
12u - 15 teams
10u - 12 teams
Format
10u, 12u, and 14u tournaments will have a 4-game guarantee, 1hour 15 minute time limit, WEATHER PERMITTING, and will consist of 2 games of pool play followed by a double-elimination format. Teams will be seeded in brackets based on their finish in pool play.
18u/16u combined tournament will have a 5-game guarantee, 1 hour 30 minute time limit, WEATHER PERMITTING, and will consist of 4 games of pool play followed by a single-elimination format. Teams will be seeded into their brackets based on a blind drawn.'
